Here'* the scoop... I was pulling in my driveway when I noticed my oil pressure guage was pegged out (all the way up). I immediately pulled in, stopped the car, and haven't ran it since. I have started it once or twice and the guage immediately goes up and stays up. I only have 37,000 miles on my baby. I have ordered a oil pressure sending unit from the dealer. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, did the ops fix it? Thanks.
Have you tried just turning the key to the "on" position without actually starting the car to see what it reads? I would guess it is the sending unit. I VERY highly doubt that the engine is actually running that much oil pressure.

No, I actually didn't think of that...
. Sometimes it is the simple stuff that eludes me. Thanks for the tip. I'll go try that right now. I'm hopefully going to put the new one in this afternoon. It finally came. Just to make sure, the OPS is on the firewall side of the engine on the oil filter relocator, right?

:P It'* fixed. It was the OPS. Not much of a part to go out at 38,000. The tip with the guage without starting the car doesn't work in mine. the guages don't activate until the motor is started. Thanks.
