These are what are on my 01 SSEI. I have never heard of them, has anybody else? No problems with them, just wanted to know what anyone'* opinion is.......
Yep, I'd agree with Toasty. It would be a good time to do the plugs and wires. If you haven't already, there are other preventative maintenance issues you may want to address. Tranny fluid and filter change, throttle body, MAF, and IAC cleaning, and changing the supercharger oil. Then, check the condition of your lower intake manifold gasket.
if you're changing the plug wires I'd like to beet everyone else to the punch and invite you to try the wires with the best warranty (lifetime) and are also run on quite a few of the fastest Bonneville'*.
They are NAPA Belden MAX wires. Blue, 7.5MM, but you can get 8MM if you request them for a 1995 SSEi. The Series I wires are shorter, but are long enough for the Series II. Price is right around $35 for the set and it only takes 30 minutes to change them the first time around, soaking a beer up at the same time.
I have been running these on the past 3 Bonneville'* I've had and only had one failure, but all I had to do was pull up in front of NAPA, yank the wires 1 at a time, and go in and exchange for the appropriate wire (they would have given me the whole box at one time but I didn't have my reciept along).
