The non working remote has KOBLEAR1XT molded in the back surface.
The working remote has KOBUT1BT molded in the back surface.
I started this topic by asking a simple question. I did not know there was a sticky remote thread. Still can't find the sticky. Just wanted an answer without having to sift thru pages of topics that don't relate to my simple question.
Could be dealer ripoff. That'* why I generally avoid them.

anyway...it looks like GM changed the Remotes for the 00 Model year....01-05 have the XT as the last 2 letters, and the 00 has the BT as the last 2 letters

The search feature can help sift through the information here. All sticky'* are "stuck" to the top of their respective folder.
