Its been some time since i have been on here but i do have a question for you. A week ago my car started overheating on the freeway, if i turned the AC off that helped alot, but it would still overheat at intersections. Come to find out i was all out of coolent in the overflow tank. Easy fix, i just filled it back up to the full line and let it sit for 2 hours. This helped and i topped it off again that night. So then no problems till last Friday. I was on the freeway and again it started overheating, and this time it came back with avengence. Not did i make it a mile down the road and the temp was up to 280 - 300 range. So i pulled over and popped the hood, coolant spraying everywhere! Right underneath the supercharger pulley, near the coolant pump (Couldn't see it exactly cause of the mist of coolant). So a 147 dollar tow truck ride to the parts store with the car and a few more bucks for a refurbished coolant pump, and three hours of install behind the parts store and i was pretty much good to go. The temp never ran higher then 210 or so (180 degree t stat installed, 95 degree outside temp). And for the last few days its been good to go, but now on my way home from work (6 mile drive) it started overheating again! This time was very similar to the first time, wouldn't overheat fast if you kept moving, but would if you stopped. So i got home and parked it in the garage and again no coolant left. So i pored a lot more in and i could watch it very slowly going down. At that moment i noticed a hissing sound coming from near the supercharger pulley. It wasn't the A/C since it was quieter near the A/C unit then the supercharger pulley, and there is a nice pool of coolant on the floor of the garage pretty close to under the coolant pump. The pump doesn't look to be leaking at all but it is a bit hard to see. The Upper, Lower, and supercharger gaskets were replaced at 60,000 miles and now i have 108,000 on the car. Any ideas what this might be? Thanks Everyone!

Sounds to me like a coolant elbow went out. There is one between the supercharger pulley and water pump towards the firewall. They are pretty cheap, most parts stores have them for a few bucks. Replace them, fill and bleed the system and you should be good

Take a looksie here, half way down. It gives you a bit of an idea of what your up against, nothing to bad. You should only need to remove the alternator then water pump.
