Get your self a panel popper tool or use 2 flat head screw drivers, start on the side away from the hinge and start popping the clips around the door.

You can see some of the clips in my pic

Thanks Todd for rubbing it in my car is FAT, going to be getting even Fatter soon, just put some more dynamat in the other nite, the front doors are getting another treatment and going to break down and do the headliner too. Don't be too jelous when I get some heavy custom A-pillar gauges made along with relocated tweets on them, PM me, my guy might make another set if wanted. Won't move the tweets for you big guy.

Oh itsnitro, don't forget as your starting to un-do the clips, be gentle untill you can reach in and unhook the clips for the electronics in the door, locks, window ect.forgot there'* 1 or 2 wiring harnesses in there to watch out for.

oh man. why did Pontiac go with the nasty dreaded "clips" for the doors? On the Riviera they have around 5 hidden screws holding the panel up on the top half, then the bottom half has about four "hook" looking parts that slide down into the door metal. To remove my panel you just remove the screws then slide the panel straight up to remove it. It is a lot more secure than those clips and it'* harder than hell to break anything. (as long as you remove the panel by pulling up and not outward away from the door.
