So after clicking on this thread, i realized my oil pressure is pegged at max and has never came down except on engine shutoff/starts. So how do i fix this?

tony

Yours is probably your oil sending unit if it just pegged out.

J Wikoff 01-12-2007 12:17 AM

Please start your own thread because yours is likely a different issue.

if you do a search you should find about 100 threads on this issue. or if you dont like to search, you can start your own topic, because it is unrelated to this existing thread

On the milkshake John...it's believed that she's burning coolant, not leaking into the oil (at least yet)

Frankly, I don't think you should be driving it with a known LIM gasket failure. Way too risky IMO.

You should really get that gasket changed now.

Pearl_bonnie02 01-12-2007 12:00 PM

It's not a confirmed LIM failure, but the odds are leaning that way. I've been changing my oil, I changed it 3 times this week so far. I kind of have no choice but to drive it right now, i have to be able to get to work, and get my daughter to school.
