Default No blower

We were coming home from work the other day and my son noticed there wasn't any boost. I thought major problem!!!. Popped the hood and found one of the idler pulleys had froze up and broke off. The blower belt was hanging on the blower pulley and the broken pulley was laying on the suspention. Not so major after all. I found one at Advance Auot Parts for $25.00 plus tax. Dealer cost was between $40 and $50.00 dollars. Took ten minutes to put on and I got my boost back. By the way the, factory one was plastic the new one is metal.

Is this the grooved pulley to the right of the right of the tensioner?

It was the smooth one down and to the left of the tensioner. The tensioner is 3 inches. The one that broke was 31/2 inches .

How were you able to replace it? I had the grooved pulley break on me so I am trying to replace them all while I have it apart but the motor mount is in the way. And it appears to remove it I would have to remove the other belt and the power steeing pulley. Im talking about the bracket that comes off the engine. Is there some trick that I am missing?

00+ Bonnevilles don't have the motor mount in the same place.

Ahh.. I see. Wishing I had a 00+ rite the moment. Actually wasn't to bad once I figured out I needed a torx socket to get the studs out.
