Default New tires.

Anyone use these?

Finding a GOOD high speed tire is hard for these cars. I'd put Goodyear F1'* on if they came in our size. There great on my IROC.

I have Michelins MX4 Plus'* on mine. I have been very very impressed with them. Just a personal opinion but every set of good years i have had, on the bonneville and the GTP have sucked. Either belts let go or just plain awful tires on these cars. My goodyears contributed huge to the vibration problem that is so common with these 2000+'*. But if you have the vibration problem make sure you get the balanced using a Hunter9000 machine. This is what alot of people have done to fix the vibration problems.

I mount my own tires on base (NAS Oceana Auto Hobby Shop) I don't recall what model balancer they have. It'* a good one though. I'm very picky about the rubber I use- if you can't put the ponys on the pavement- whats the point! So RSA'* where not even a option - I break the lose to easy. I had one F1 give me trouble that the guy wanted to put 2oz on one side- I took the tire deflated/broke the bead and turned it 180deg bingo .50oz. I found a tread on this after I posted this one and someone else seems to like them. They also talked about Dunlop A2'* I had a set of D60A2'* on my IROC and they did not last 10k!! FKers would not honor the milage warr cause of the car! I asked why they made them in 245/50/16 being Camaros and T/A'* are about the only car that uses the them? I have Aquatread 3'* on my '94 SSEi and they are great for that car.

I have Federal SS595 and am happy with them. Their a Z rated tire and were only $151 cdn.

I had to go wider and lower profile though as I couldnt find a good tire in our size.

I replaced a bad outer tierod and put them on today, Just bringing the car out and parking it I can feel the a much better ride than the RSA'*. My wife is getting the alighment now and I'm going to PA tonight I can't wait to feel the grip. I love the extra thick "run-flat" side wall. They poped right on the rim. I did not have to struggle to get the bead seated.

I just put them through a 700mi "roughtra" and they did great. The air check system calls out low press if I set them @ the 30psi the door sticker calls for. I hope 35 is good.
