Default Need help =/

ok, so my 00 sle bonneville loves to be retarded at times =/

this time my climate control is not working corectley, basicley when ever i start my car my brake light comes on, and the control pannel for my heat in the car does not work corectley, it lights up except for the display. and i cant control any thing. it still blows at the setting i had set last. and in the morning when i get up to go to class, it blows out just cold air, i cant defog my rear window. and even when i do luck out on those rare days and it decides it wants to work, as soon as i put the rear window defog on. it just goes right back out.....

so when the air decides to work, the brake light goes back out... and i do have an after market radio put in, and when i had a tech look at it, and he said that he thinks it may have something to do with that special part thats needed to by pass some things that is in the stock radio like the alarm and other things that i cant remember. so i put my stock radio back in to see if i could get the air to work again, but that didnt work

any one who knows what it might be, please help. because its geting frusterateing and its geting cold out, and i miss haveing control of my air =/

Welcome to the club.

Something you can try is check the bus grounds in the floor under the front doors. Lift up the carpet and you will find them right under the door frame. Sometimes these will get corroded and can cause a lot of weird problems. Clean both of them up and see if that corrects the problem

yup. i finaly took a look at that today, and i also realized that some how the fog light button also is in this whole ordeal. if i have the for light on when the my control goes out, its stuck on and i cant get it off. not like i realy care bout that. but i took off that ground you were talking about, it wasnt realy coroaded at all, and i did try and clean it off, put it back on it still didnt do any thing. i also tried grounding it to a few other things... like even directley to the battery but nope =/

any more suggestions??? ill take any thing. im realy starting to get frustrated with this, and wana kinda just drive it off a cliff and buy a new one with my insurance money =p

yea... i just went out and checked it and it still does what it loves to do.... could something like the alternator or battery cause this to like if it wasnt geting anough power???... because i noticed when i started the car again. the voltage it was reading wasnt up as high as it usualy is, and when i start reving the engine a bit, then it will rise....

i dont know what to do now=/

Did you check both ends of both battery cables to make sure they are clean? This sounds like a grounding problem. Hay Billboost, where are all the ground buses?

Yes, clean that one as well. I couldn't remember if there was another one by the back seat. Don't forget to clean the + cable as well. But really, the battery cables would effect the starting and running of the car more.
