ok so im having the same sound....i just put the FWI on...it only happens when the car is under load and the TC is Locked....

and i can rule OUT possibilities of the Cat and the SC, as the car only has 23K on it....

i think that it might be a 'normal' sound... :?

I have a definate exhaust leak tick, I think there is another "tick" like 1993 SLE stated. I ask this before but think it got lost in the shuffle...

Is there an inherent mechanical noise, like a "ticking", from the supercharger? at all?

Hate to bring up an old topic, but I have this same ticking after adding the FWI.
I'm new to the forum, if anyone knows of a thread where this may have been discussed further please point me to it.

Thanks,
Eric

I think I may have the exact same tick sound, it is VERY faint...

When I start the car in the garage now, I can here the VERY faint ticking sound that was not there the day before.

I did take the car on a long trip and used the supercharger a lot on the trip...

Do you think I might have caused this to happen?

HELP!!

Did anyone ever find out what was causing the faint ticking noise?

Exhaust ticks seem to be some what common. I've been chasing a exhaust tick for months now. I'm convinced it'* just the way it is. I hear the same in GPs and Bonnevilles.

Hmmm, the car just had an entire new stock exhaust system put on it by the dealer a few months ago...

Sure it isn't a sound from the sugercharger?

Superchargers don't tick. Fuel injectors can have a faint tick, the exhaust has more of a pft sound.

Ok, I just went out and started the car....

It is more of a slight rattling sound than a ticking sound....

I am really rather concerned,,,,, :(
