Default more engine movement, not fun

im gonna totally sound real dumb on this one, moreso cause im not an engine guy

One of the engine mounts in my 01SE have "given out" apparently. All i know is that the Bonne when i put her in drive, all i felt was a thump. Having half a brain i decided to see with a friend how bad the engine was moving, in reverse the engine moved signifigantly more than my buddys bonne. we compared the two. both 01'*. It just kicks around real bad.

Does that seem odd that my mounts are already shot at 110k? its been awhile since ive had a problem. Anyone have a link handy with pictures maybe on engine mount locations on the 2001'*?
and most important, can I do the hockey puck on all the mounts.

BTW: i just waxed this thing, now she'* sitting at home all day jelous while i drive the leSabre. lol

Engine Mount
Transmission Mounts

As far as I know, the solid mount has only been tried on the front transmission mount.

And I wouldn't suggest doing it to all the mounts. If you tied your engine down that tight...it would give a lot of vibration.

Did you try the test in drive or only reverse? Reverse would suggest the rear trans mount. Forward is usually a front mount.

just do the solid motor mount and you will not be disappointed.

if you are, I will personally pay for the $10 in parts it costs to make.

I'd be putting in mine but hockey pucks are a seasonal item around here. I looks like I have to wait til winter for mine.

is your front trans mount leaking oil at all? its probably just that one mount gone bad. Open the hood, look down past the fans to the subframe, it'll be a black/round ball looking thing about where the engine meets the trans. My 01 went at 90,000, and had just bought the car with 84,000.

This is what I replace it with.

a few months back, April or so i had thought the same thing. So we replaced the torn front mount. But it'* back. there is no way in 8000 miles that the mount can be torn again. ( the hockey puck goes in sometime soon, i hope)

All i know is when my foot is on the floor the engine rumbles, stops, rumbles again all in first gear by the way. more like a fade in and out rumble as i go from 0 - 50
Also when i am taking off nice and slow and im around a bend and give it gas, it shakes too.

Hubs were replaced 1000 miles ago. Im running out of front end things to replace. lol
