In a discussion in N* section many of us have broken moon roof wind visors, and untill I read, I didnt even know I had one. So i go out with a flash light and sure enough its there but broke on one side(before I bought it new) and it just lays there. And I'm wondering how many more are broke and if anybody else just didnt know it'* there . It'* the cheapest thing I've found on car yet. It'* just one thing after another with these 05'*.
Hmmm my experience is more on the 92-99'* and we haven't seen the same issues there. Odd that the newer ones would have issues. I'm wondering it there'* an installation issue at the factory.
Yes I have a 4" peice broke out of the driver side on mine, it still works though. I also had the little peice laying there as well. I wonder howmany 00+ cars have it the same way?

Mine is broke on drivers side , but it is the part on the sunroof frame that the deflector hooks into that is snapped off.I have to change the whole sunroof frame to fix, and I have an extra frame but dont want to go thru all that trouble to change it.My glass only opens wont go to vent

It'* just cheaply made, minumum sized plastic bullshit Bill is why their breaking.
My frame is fine but the deflector piece itself has the end snapped off. And it must have happened in the showroom because I never knew it existed. The deflector is one of the cheapest things I've ever seen . I dont know whether to put it on the list of things dealer is ordering or just take the passenger side off too and throw in the woods. Even the "springs that pop it up are plastic and thin and dont have the strength to pop it up when you open the moonroof. No wonder GM is such a dire crisis. It'* bad enough that cant sell the things , now their going even broker with all the recall items .Some people have even been told by the dealesr the wind deflector was not put in in 04 and 05. Guess they just removed em as they broke on lot.
Looking at Hyundais today while in town....anybody want to buy a custom 05GXP....low miles...only driven on Sundays under 45 MPH??

I went out and took pics of the it:
Heres the whole deflector.

And the broken piece,

It layed there for 3 months, me not knowing it was a deflector. And ya need it.... I thought the cabin a little dreezy when I had the moonroof retracted.
