Hey guys,

I have been experienced the hard shift a couple times in my 2005 SLE with 85000 on it. I'm well aware of the PCS throwing the P1811 code, and have talked the dealer many times and agree its the PCS!

Some of you guys may ask why i want this to happen, reason being I only have 1000 miles left on my warranty and dealer said they would cover it, IF I can get the code to display on a code reader. I have had the code displayed before (on my scangauge), but didnt realize the OBD II resets itself after so many starts, so unfortunately i have lost the code.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions to get this code to display once again? Driving styles? Manual shifts? anything?

The couple times it has acted up on me, the transmission seems to be completely warmed up to operating temperature...

drive it hard and it will come back on. worked like a charm on mine unfortunately i was not trying to get it to act up LOL

Was it the P1811 code that you got to display routinely?

TCC stuck on is what the code supplied meant

The P1811 code resets when you turn the car off. This is so that it allows the car to try and shift normally w/o full pressure. Although there should be a code in history.

And there lays your problem. And the dealership knows this. You have 1000 miles to get it to come on, then drive straight there and have them check it out. If you shut off the car, it'* gone.

mine would stay on and not drive correctly for at least 6 start ups. but that was my car which just has issues LOL

Is there any way to get my scangauge to display history codes? My gut feeling is when it displayed the code last time, it was a code stored in history since it was before i got my scangauge installed....

I think it may be tough to get it to act up, since its now winter and my trans seems to run right about 135 -145 when fully warmed up, which is much lower than when we had one 65 degree day and it was around 175..

I will be SURE not to shut the car off at all if it throws this code again, hopefully its not at night! haha

im sure the dealer wouldnt take a history for proof to have a tranny replaced but when mine through that code last I was driving in rushhour stop and go traffic for a couple hours

Cruising around city like conditions in say 1-2 should warm it up. Just don't keep the engine over 3K much.
