Looking at a 01 SSEi...help me
Hey y'all thanks for the input.
I checked on the one i posted about and it is an 02 SSEi with leather interior, no sunroof,
and 25k on the clock. They are asking $18,800. I know thats the asking price. But is still a little steep to me. I almost have mine paid off anyway, I just owe about 3 1/2 to 4 G'*, on it so I think I'll just keep it.
Anyway "if it ain't broke don't fix it."
Thanks,
Mac

I bought my '00 SLE in Jan '05 with 31k miles for $13k. The power to the passenger doors wouldn't work - the wire harness must have gotten damp from being stored - it was all green/corroded - dealer fixed it.
Since then, I've racked up 12k more miles (now has 43k) - had to replace the wires and plugs - plugs were rusty! So that made me wonder about the upper intake gasket....so I checked the date stamp on the manifold (?? plastic thingy??) ....looks to me like it was molded on Dec 18, 2003...so I'm assuming it had the gaskets changed.....

That price sounds pretty good for an asking price (with that low of mileage). That was about the same price as the dealership was asking for my b'ville. It is hard to pass up an SSEi with that low of mileage! I couldn't let mine go anyway. With this forum and the knowledge of the problem areas in the 00+ cars, you should be able to talk them down pretty good. My advice would be to try to get an additional warranty with the purchase of the car because they are usually much cheaper to get with the low mileage. My 5yr/up to 75k mile warranty only cost us $1200 additional and it has more than paid for itself already.
