im bringing in the unit tomorrow for a $35 tech2 scan and i need to know if i should rehookup the wheel speed sensors to get a correct reading?

i have been told they are in plain sight behind the wheel if u turn them...

either im blind, or the disconnected wires have been pulled off by something?

can i get a pic or a better description please

Normaly you cant miss them, the plug is kind of white , thats the only wire you will see.

Even disconnected, youll see the wire that is hold by the hub. If theres nothing then ...

Yes there are rear sensors too, and if the drivers side was disconnected for any length of time it may have gotten wet inside the connector.

The 95 has sensors on all 4 wheels. Don't know about the 2000 but I'd imagine that would be the same.

causing what??

the first snow caused this...

http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ic.php?t=45823

first of all, the entire ABS system is disabled because the WSS are disconnected because 1 or more sensors are bad... this means i have no ABS during winter, not good. with these sensors disconnected it displays "service stability system" on the DIC. along with that, the "anti-lock" and "trac off" lights are displayed.

i do not have the time or money right now to replace the hubs, but i think the following problrms is not related to this system.

about a month ago, the first day it snowed, i starting having this problem where when i would start the car, and all the above lights would go off.. i think wow, it fixed itsself. then i put it in gear and start to drive. as soon as the gas pedal is pushed, the car brakes by itself, the more you apply gas, the more it brakes, to a complete stop. to bypass it, you can LIGHTLY hold your foot on the brake, enough that it applies, and then the gas pedal works freely, driving around with the brake slightly applied... NOT COOL...

it is completely randon, but only during start up. it will switch back to its normal mode sometimes seconds after startup, sometimes minutes and miles away. i thought i could make it go normal by doing a burnout or turning sharp turns, but those were only coincedences that they shut off the stupid error.

i have narrowed it down to the front passenger callipers applying more than the driver side if that has anything to do with it.

If you run too long with the WSS unplug , water can damage the connector and you need a new one, it happen to me, mine wasnt correctly connected. From the dealer the harness is 68.70$canadian.

If you have a bad WSS, the code will be set again. Wait till you have your new WSS/hub and the code will probably go away.

went to dealer today.. tech2 pulled 21 history codes... didnt even get a chance to see them, he cleared them pretty much right away...

the sensor that is bad is the left front, it said it was open circut... he cleared it and it came up instantly...

the rear right sensor pulled a code after a drive of inconsistant data with the other readings...

going to check the wires on the left front sensor, but the lugs are stuck hard...
