I know there are lots of topics on spark plugs and there is a link in the tech info. but they all seem to be only about the L67. I own the L36 and my plugs are getting changed while I do a tune-up. I know all of the facts about heat ranges, etc. for the supercharged engines, but I can not find any information for the naturally aspirated engine, L36.

Plugs found in my area include...Autolite, NGK, Bosch.

I am leaning towards NGK or Autolite...but I do not know which #.

Thoughts from past experiences?

Edit - my car is completely stock with the exception of an intake, solid motor mount, and 180*T-stat.

Bosch are known to fail at a fast rate in our waste spark ignition systems. Please..don't buy them unless you want to change them soon.

Autolite'* are good.
AC Delco'* are good
NGK'* are good.

If you are looking for a longer term plug.. look into the Iridiums. Made by both AC Delco and NGK to my knowledge, they are a good solid plug that work well in our engines.

Frankly, I believe that you will be served just fine with just about any of those plugs. I do know that many here have had some issues with Bosch Platinums, but I'm not 100% sure that this applies to the NA L36. For example, my car ran just fine from 2003 until just last October (2006) on a set of Bosch platinums that were installed by the dealership when they did my UIM and LIM gasket replacement. It ran smooth as butter with no spark issues ever.

They all looked clean and fine when removed.

Those were replaced with NGK copper at that time. Not because there was a problem as much as we were in there at the time and it was a good time to replace plugs too.

But in the end, the NGK or Autolite coppers are probably the least expensive out there and work fine.

im running ac delco 41-932 one step colder than stock whit good result .stay away from bosch that for sure
