If the person that replaced them last time missed one step, and that is a little RTV on the bolts, they will weep coolant to the top of the LIM. To fix this you need to remove the bolts, and that means pulling the supercharger to get to them, may as well go one more step and replace the LIM gaskets. 2 years seems to be where the bolts start to weep. I've seen the plastic gaskets start to fail in a year, but can still last 100k miles. Generally, when the gaskets fail they don't leak to the outside of the engine.

ZZperfomance has the special aluminum gaskets you need. Here'* the link to the gaskets.

I don't seem to see them on autozone anymore. Hmmm.

you should replace uim/lim with new gaskets to avoid this problem in the future. just replaced uim/lim gaskets on 99 bonnie a week ago, (3800eng) to avoid this coolant leak problem. had uim leak n 98 olds 88 and it hyperlocked engine and flooded cylinders with coolant.

It does matter if its plastic or aluminum. The plastic warps when it gets hot and cold, then it eventually breaks. Mostly in the coolant ports.
