Default I getting a SES code saying misfire on cylinder 3.

I have tried swapping sparkplug wires, sparkplugs, coils and fuel injectors and the misfire never moved. The motor shakes when idling. Also you can hear it missing. Any ideas where to go next? The car has about 183k miles.

Thanks

Losing any coolant? What does the plug look like? Any different than the others? How'* the coil look? Any rust on the posts?

I just did a compression test and all the cylinders ranged from 145 to 165 except for cylinder 3 which was 132.

I did a leak down test and all the cylinders ranged about 87 to 94% except for cylinder 3 it was 54%. So I do have a problem with that cylinder. I was hoping that maybe that valve needs to be adjusted. When listening I hear the air out the exhaust so I would assume that is the leaking valve. As for adjusting the valve just to double check do I go to TDC than torque to 11lbs and turn an additional 90 degrees?

I just removed the rockers and the leak down test did not get any better.

I woudl get a boroscope and look at the piston head. It is possible it is chipped or the rings are compromised. Have you ever had a sparkplug in this cyilnder that looked smashed when you pulled it out?

I did have a sparkplug tip break off before. I can't remember the cylinder buit it was about 20k miles ago. Maybe thats it. I did wonder how it passed through the cylinders.

Well it looks like a bend valve.

I have a full set of stock pushrods from my 97 SSEi. Will these work on your engine? If you want them, make an offer and I'll ship them right out.
