StabiliTrak and laws of physics question??
With the 2 channel Stabilitrak system(as opposed to the now available 4 channel system in some GM SUV'*/trucks[braking applied to any of the 4 wheels that need it]) in the SSEI'* which controls braking of just the front wheels,..........if you are on a wet slippery road and you are going through a sharp Left-hand turn and the ***-end of the car breaks traction and starts sliding out..........which one of the front wheels get the braking force first(to straighten the car back out),.....the right front or the left front??(....and reason/* why?)

Allow me to take a WAG at this. Right Front .... but you're toast anyway unless you are on a skidpad at a proving ground somewhere. Also, if your back broke out before your front that would really be a weird-_ss slide!
Weird Logic: As your south end is trying to pass up your north end, the proper thing to do would be to attempt to bring the north end around to the right to match the direction of the south end. By applying right front brake pressure (if there is any traction left LOL) that would tend to swing the left end to the right. Kind of like turning into a slide.
I know I'm really going to get some guffaws on this one, but I just had to stretch my brain a little.

The Stabilitrak system actually works really well!!,.....I've tried it out several times on slippery/snowy roads,.....going probably 50-60 mph,I'd give the car a hard,quick steer to the left,....the ***-end would kick out and start to come around to the right and then the Stabilitrak would activate in a heartbeat[.....yeah,MY heartbeat!!],.....the car would fish-tail once slightly back to the left and then straighten the car right out,(works well in empty parking lots at night,as well)

I dont know for sure but I'm almost positive your wrong on the whole 2 wheel 4 wheel thing. I have a 00 and i know for a fact all 4 are controlled seperate. I've try the system out on snow and i can feel the back wheel drag to straiten the car out in which ever direction its sliding.

HHmmmm?,...You may be right on that,......however the system works it'* instantanious and seamless,.and you can definately feel it working as soon as the car gets out of it'* 'norma'l line/path of direction,.....and doesn't stop working until the car is straight again.I'm thinking it would be almost impossible to get the car 180 degrees sideways or do a 360 on Any road surface( other than maybe glare ice)

I can believe 4-wheel control for our cars before I believe only 2-wheel control. I'd love to find out. It would be near impossible for a horse with 2 lame rear legs to gather control in a slide too.
