Ahhhh... maybe I got to the limit and just didn't know it - I was concentrating more on the road than the speedometer

Max speed for our Bonne'* with stock transmission gearing is 156 mph in 3rd gear at 6000 rpm. Bumping up the revs to 6250...162, 6500...170, ...

The one time I maxed in 3rd it dropped into 4th, the rpm dropped to 4200 and it started to slow down....not enough Poop.

So mine can go 170 in 3rd? Woooooooooooooooooooow! Wouldn't it go faster 4th? So wheres my govner kick in at? Even without my govner I only have enough hp to get my car up to 130 or so right? If it had 300 or 400hp I might be able to go 160 or 170 right?

GM4, 2000 Silver is supercharged and has more overall power.

Stock to my knowledge all NA'd motors were governed at 108 per the FSM'*, however due to the minor speedometer inaccuracies you will see anywhere from 105 to 110

On the SC'd speed should depend on what tires your car was shipped with.

The L27 and L36 will be horsepower limited due to aero drag long before 135-140mph. Regardless of revs or gear, it'* not going to go that fast.
