A while back the horn in my 2005 Bonneville went down to a single tone. While at the garage for something else, I mentioned it to the mechanic, but he said that "it wasn't worth fixing", evidently because of the expense of labor involved. I'd like to get it fixed because it sounds rather tame as it is. With the hood open, it can't be seen, but is the Bonneville horn that hard to get to?

Remove the driver side wheel house liner and it should be staring you in the face. To undo the wheel house plastic clips you have to pry the center portion out, then pull the outer section out.

roy is dead on. in my car, its in the same spot, but i can also get at it by taking out my headlight and looking straight down. should be the same for your car. both are H bodies.
i solved the wimpy horn issue with a wolo duel trumpet horn. $30 at advance auto.

Thanks for the input guys. I don't get much involved with the mechanicals except to replace bulbs, wiper blades, air filters, and change the oil, but I may take a closer look at the horn.
