High mileage motor with bend valve need some advice.
This is my wifes car and the motor has 185k on it. I just found out the valve is bend and I am not sure which option to go with.
A. Replace or fix the head. ( I am worried about this option because I have heard when you replace a head with this high of mileage that the bottom end will usually go out shortly after).
B. Rebuild the whole motor myself. (I did it before on my Trans AM so it should not be a problem. The only thing is time is a factor.)
C. Buy a prebuild motor for ( I have seen motors from local places go for $1600 with a 3 year 36k mile warranty. This does come with the gaskets needed for the intake and exhaust but I will have to reuse the timing chain cover and valve covers. This will be the easiest but cost the most. )
Any ideas?
Thanks,
