HELP: Weird things from my Drivers Information Center
:( My DIC keeps dinging and displaying left door ajar, then right door ajar. Now is says left door ajar and the window will go down by itself, same for the right rear. I would guess it is the BCM since it is on both sides. Any help before I dig into it to find the problem would be greatly appreicated.

The common denominator here for the door ajar warnings would be the Driver Door Module (DDM), it receives input from all doors then relays to the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) then to the DIC. You may want to look a little closer in the area of the DDM located interior of driver door. As for the pwr window lowering itself w/o operator input, that'* a good one. Like Toast said, these could very well be ground related problems specifically grounds where there shouldn't be grounds. Keep us updated.

HELP: Weird things from my Drivers Information Center
The message started displaying a couple of weeks ago, I unlocked the passenger windows with the drivers door switch and then when the message would occur, the corrasponding window would go down (left or right rears). This just started today after the switch was pushed, my wife pressed the lock switch and now the messages occur without the window moving. Had class tonight, will check it out tomarrow after work.

i had the same problem with my DIC only mine would tell me doors were open and the trunk was open minus the window thing and it turned out to be the rear integrated module.. after about 2 days in the shop and $800 later was good as new.. but like i said i didn't have the window issue with mine

You wanted to know how I came out with the door problem, I took the drivers door panel off and inspected the wires through the jamb and to the module, ok. Unplugged the module, low and behold - three of the five connectors were corroded. Removed all the wires and replaced each terminal. The pins inside the module were A-OK. That was a week ago and the wife says no problem yet.

Here’* the rest of the story, it did get hit in the drivers side "A" pillar a year ago. The door was not salvageable and had to be replaced with a used one. I do not know if the wiring used is mine or from the donor door. Most likely it was sitting outside on the donor car before it was used on mine. Isn’t that nice?
