Default HELP! Supercharger quit

OK, so for the past two days, my car would make a whistle sound from the supercharger whenever I gave it gas, and was different than the supercharger whine, I mean it was a high pitched whistle. Now today, drove fine to my brothers ball game, and after, started it up and went to hit to get on the highway, and no power! I can't stand not having my SC! Somebody please help me! Any ideas on what I should do? Thanks in advance! ~Brad

i think there is more to this than a bad SC.. is the check engine light on??? im thinking there is another problem causing the computer to dump the boost.

No lights came on or anything, no warning lights, nothing. Just quit working. I can get it to 0 boost though when accelerating.

U can run with out the */C.....But i'* real doggy though for the */C'd cars are of a lower compression. I'm thinking maybe a bad BCS? As Harofreak stated.....Pop the belt off and see how it turns. And then we shall go from there.

i would think that with the low compression and lack of boost it would run like complete ***

Yup, it does....I've seen it before on a GTP that limped to a friends house one day with a fragged */C belt. Just like to point out too, I forgot to in my first post, */C'* don't just "stop" working. Normally something else going on to affect the performance of the */C.

Do you know where that whistle is coming from?

I can only hear it when I am driving under hard acceleration, and it sounds like the */C. I will have to take the belt off tomorrow night after work and take a look at it. Thanks

Sounds very much like a vacuum leak. Always check for the simple things first. Good luck!
