Default HELP! busted pulley

so I'm driving home and my CEL comes on. Gauges appear normal, car is running fine, I continue home. I stop at a light and go to make aright hand turn when I notice she is severly underpowered. NO BOOST. I get her home, pop the hood and find a pulley busted. Well, more like exploded.

What pulley is this and where can I buy a replacement? What does this belt drive besides the */c?

You can buy a replacement at most auto parts stores. It'* called an idler pulley, in this case it'* a grooved 3" pulley.

I'm not sure about your generation car, but that Torx bolt holding the pulley on is left hand thread on my car.

You can drive the car without the belt for now since it only drives the supercharger.

You may want to also consider checking the other pulleys, they're known to fail and should be considered service items.

Cheers,

Nope, you have 2 other smooth 3" pulleys, one is right next to the grooved one as the tensioner pulley, the other is just above and to the the right of the harmonic balancer. There also another smooth pulley used on the tensioner on the accessory belt.

The pulley you need to replace is the only grooved pulley on the car. It'* grooved to help align the belt on the longest run of the circuit for the belt; from the balancer to the idler itself.

Cheers,

Give us a bit more time than 20 minutes to respond to questions. This shows the pulleys, as well as part numbers.

I bought the dayco replacement. Much better to have the metal pulley vice the cheap plastic one. Cost me 35 bucks cause I couldn't find my T50 bit and had to buy a new Torx set.

Thank you guys again for your help.
