the other night i went to my g/fs house and locked my car via keyless entry, well i know the our daytime lights are suppose to flash. but when i armed my car, my main Headlights came and stayed on, so i press the lock button again and they(main HL) flash off and then back on. i was like alrite whatever what a weird thing. the following night, last night acutally, i went back to my g/f'* and the same thing happen. has this happen to any body else??? i think Pontiac/Bonneville are bugged!!
I think the keyword is "NIGHT". Look in the manual- I think what you are descriibing is a security feature that you can change. It sounds like yours is set so that the lights stay on for your convenience when you lock it. And the car knows from the light sensor when it is dark our, so you won't see them stay on during the day.

when you unlock your car the newer Bonneville'* are equipped with perimieter lighting whcih means when you unlock the car and it'* dark out the high beams on lower power, parking lights, and reverse lights will turn on so you can see around the car better. It'* a safety feature and can turn off. They usually stay on for 30 seconds or so.
