Default Half an Air Conditioner?

I have a 2000 SE and when I turn the A/C on, the two vents on the passenger side has cool air blowing out. But poor me, I get warm air out of my two vents. Any ideas on what can be happening? No dual climate control in this puppy. Thanks. :?

The air mixing chamber door is stuck on the warm side only. With the ignition on and the engine off, everything quiet and fan on low you can sometimes hear a ticking'. Follow the tick' to the door and try tapping at the shroud if you can to loosen the door?
If there is no ticking then the solenoid maybe shot or wiring or control module and this becomes a lot tougher problem to fix.

Let us know what you find.

I had the same problem and after tearing apart under the dash, I found out that I simply needed to add more r-134a.

I had the exact same problem about a year ago, there'* a thread somewhere on it. Jbmark is probably right. I had a leak in the A/C and after reapirs. all was well.

It seems that a tell of low fridge, is only blowing cool from one side, not to discount that it may be something else altogether.

I also have the 2000 SE with dual control.

You can probably find a hose that can check the pressure with a gauge for about $8-$10.
