This morning while driving for my ritual cigereetes, I noticed the car has a flapping noise and runs kinda rough...any idea what might be causing this..could it actually be a bad o2 sensor?

it is kinda hard to explain when I first give it gas, it runs kinda rough, then when I give it full throttle it sounds like a flapping noise like a card in the spoke or something...could it be a leak in the catalatic converter, or something else? Just had a tune up and it seemed to work find for a awhile...the ses light went away #2 spark plug and wire was corroded. But it seems to run kinda rough It almost sounds like one of the park plugs is misfiring or not up to par with the engine. Could it be a vac problem? Also it was doing this before the spark plug change and wires...so I think it might be a seperate problem. The mechanic also noticed there was a module not connected to the engine, so he engaged it and it didnt seem to make a difference. But I am wondering why this square block was not connected.

I also heard from the forums to stay away from bosch o2 sensors...is that true?

Do not use Bosh O2 sensors.

From what your saying, it sounds like a exhaust leak.

Ya thats what it sounds like..the mechanic I brought it to said there was a small leak in the exhaust, where is a good place to take it to get the exhaust leak to be fixed.

You'll need to find a exhaust shop. May need a new cat. The exhaust is stainless to the cat is the most likely place it has a hole.

If you don't have a visible hole in your exhaust, then it'* the flex pipe. So....replace the Rear O2 Sensor with a Denso #2344087, get the exhaust repaired (replace the cat and flex pipe) and clear the codes.

I noticed when I start driving the steering wheel shakes a bit...also when I get up to 50 or so the flapping noise occurs like it is missing #2 spark. here is the code I pulled again from autozone for my car:

Code P0302

cyclinder misfire detected on cylinder #2
ignition system fault spark plug ignition wires coil.
vacuum leak
injector fault
high or low fuel pressure

those are the codes autozone pulled for me.

Check this thread out on the code.

Pull the plug on cylinder #2 and inspect it. The plug might be bad. A random misfire is likely the ICM. misfire on 2 cylinders, same coil, the problem is likely the coil, a single cylinder misfire is likely a bad plug wire or bad plug. Can also be a bad injector. You can also use a spray bottle of water and mist the plugs, plug wires, and coil at night with the engine running. Turn off all lights and watch for blue flashes. If you see any, you have a grounding problem that needs to be fixed.
