Could one of you kind members point me towards the GM part number for a Trunk gasket, for a 2000 Bonne? (black trunk seal, that goes around the trunk opening)?

The recomended sealer number to install it?

I'm sorry but I can't help you out with any sealer information though. Is your trunk leaking?

Yes, it is.

Went through the whole sticky, did everything, still leaking. Sat in the trunk with a flashlight, and found the problem....the water is clinging to the trunklid edge outside of the gasket, and gravity lets it run right along the metal surface past the gasket. Trunk is aligned correctly, and the gasket is more compressed that my buddies, so thinking this will do the trick.

(In the same sticky post, someone even mentioned that they had the same thing.)

I wasn't aware that GMPARTSDirect had a better lookup engine....I'll have to check it out!

I'm a big fan of butyl rubber. It'* a great sealant and if you ever have to remove it for any reason, it won't take days like it would with silicone. I would definately wait for more input on this, though
