Default Gauge in vent?

Anyone try to put a round gauge in one of the MANY round a/c dash vents? It looks like it would fit......

You'd think, being an HVAC tech, you wouldn't want to lose a vent...

Just Kidding.

It is his idea, I just pulled the trim off at home and measured it, had an old stewart warner temp gauge to play around with and it will work.
Stuff some insulation in the vent tube if you do try this as the heat will cook the gauge.

Mark,
check out the areotech.....very usefull toy.
