I cleaned the throttlebody and Idle Air Control motor and it got even better. I even went so far as to completelly clean the EGR system, which again helped, but like I said before, I have confirmed that my O2'* are very slow to respond with my autotap. Your problem with mileage could be anything from bad gas to O2 sensors that are on their way out. I always recommend when it'* time for a full tune up on most vehicles to replace O2 sensors when you do the rest. A bad O2 sensor could foul new plugs over a shorter period of time as well. You should get it checked out because you are just wasting money on gas right now! Figure around $200 for a full tuneup (probably would be less - and only get AC Delco O2 Sensors which are cheaper from GMPartsDirect.com). If after the tuneup you get 22mpg, that'* 7mpg better. You'll pay off that $200 in less than 500 miles (with a premium fuel price of $3/gal - it'* higher here now).
Good luck!
Good luck!
I've never had my TB off, nor the EGR. I do run a K&N stock replacment air filter. But like I say I've always gotten the same 14.5 MPG, however I am very heavy footed!

mileage
I have an SLE and get an adverage of 27-28 with city and highway driving. I know I dont have the supercharger but I feel that I have enough power the way it is.
I have a question though. Are SLEs a limited edition? I eithere see SEs or SSEIs. Its like I'm hte only SLE

Okay I am not real pleased with mine...
Town 14-16 (tons of hills)
Highway 26-28 (I was hoping for closer to 30 or 32)
My Bonn is hog compared to my Impala!
The Impala gets...
Town 16-18 (hilly agian)
Highway 32-36 (I love that part)
The car feels somewhat slower than the Bonneville, but it has the old lady axle ratio and the old China built 3400! I love my 3800 Series II but the only thing I am not fond of is its fuel economy! Just my 5 cents!

I have noticed, however, that the DIC is always 1 mpg higher than when I calculate it out.
