Default Fuel Pressure ??

My factory Fuel pressure regulator was set at 42 psi at idle with the vacuum line connected.
I now have it set at 45 psi with my adjustable regulator.

The Service manual lists the fuel pressure for the engine as 60 psi with the engine warm at 1850 rpm.

My guess is that this is the pump maximum pressure before the regulator. :?

The service manual says not exceed 65 psi or you risk damaging the regulator so the pump maybe 60 for that reason.
It also states that the pressure should be between 48 and 55 psi with the ignition on but engine off. Start the car and the fuel pressure should not vary more than 3 psi.

Dead heading the fuel header at 48-55 psi, all injectors shut.

OK, I have re-adjusted the regulator from 46 to 50 psi.
With the vacuum line pulled, it reads 59 psi.

This will be 8 psi higher than the OEM regulator was set at.
