Plus keeping you foot off the back of the engine by mashin the petal through the floor would help some.

I think when these guys say they are getting 30 mpg, they refer to instant mpg on the freeway........there is not one out there that "averages" anywhere near 30mpg.

Properly tuned with light modifications (such as a 3.4 and rockers) an SSEi could get 33 or so average highway miles at 70mph. My car used to.

On a trip at 70 to 75mph my 93 ssei averaged 28-30 mpg on a tank. My 97 ssei gets about 25mpg. My dad'* 95 ssei gets about 30mpg on trips.

Hi Mike, have you tried hitting the EM button and watching your km/h change the mp/h on the speedo and the mileage and fuel used, fuel range all change to MILES/MPG. Watch the needle to a little dance if your cruising then hit the EM button, cranks down tot he MP/H equivelent. More precise for us Canucks

2003 SE here getting 31.7 mpg on 2 different full tank round-trips. Had about 20 miles of city driving on each trip, with the highway speeds running 75-80 mph. I'm Happy! :P
