Okay, so pretty much everything that ya'll have said here on BF that needs to replaced or modified to work has played out on me. Here is my way of building the front mount. Thanks for the idea of the hockey pucks. They're really hard to find in West Texas though. Not a big market for Hockey.



This mount was the obvious reason for the clunking noise when shifting from gear to gear and downshifting.



These pucks are 3" OD x 1" in heigth. I have a total three being utilized.



I used a drill press along with a 1/2" bit to makes the holes in the pucks.



I also had to enlarge the hole in the bracket to a 9/16" diamater to accept the new 8"x1/2" bolt.







Here is the installed product. I used several large OD washers to space up the bracket. I also chose a longer bolt because I plan on using some sort of material between the pucks and maybe a shaved down, smaller OD sized puck on top. I'll have to find another puck somewhere though. I could only find 3 here. There is quite a bit more vibration than expected. I hope a puck on top will reduce the amount of vibration.
