They are good and can be upgraded before installation with some bulbs of your choice. I have Silverstar'* in mine.
Anyone that says the Silvers will burn out quickly should continue on. Both of the lenses on my car are and have been broken (pieces missing) for about 3 months now. The bulbs still work and are on 100% of the time.
I'm impressed so far. (Damage was done by highway construction.)

I have those on my car, and even the stock lights that come with them throw some pretty good light. There is quite a difference in color of the light as compared to my Silverstar headlights , but I find that it helps visibility during rainy weather.
To protect them from stones, I bought some plastic sheets that I applied over the lenses before I installed them. So far, no cracks or problems from road debris, although I can't say for sure if it'* because of the plastic, that I've just been lucky.
