Looks very well covered here.

The one thing I'd add is (experience talking here) that I have seen this caused by a bad coil that would only act up when up to temp. No exterior visible issues etc. If you are getting misfires.etc.. warm the car up..get the misfires and test the coils immediately. Then you can pinpoint the one that is a problem.

I would stray away from replacing all three, you may introduce another issue in the process.

And don't forget that 97 and newer L67 coils are hotter than L36 coils, or L27/S1 L67 coils, and 96 L67 coils.

Update:

Well I replaced the wires and plugs. Still have the problem of engine stalls and multiple misfires. I checked all 3 coils as per tech info to find all were within spec (even after warmup). Now it is getting worse. My check engine light has come on again and stayed on this time for a while. The car misfires worse when it'* hot than from a cold start. Car is either running great or starts to misfire then coughs and wants to stall. It stalled once idling. The other time it stalled at a red light. Tach jumps up and down during the misfire which occur at any speed (even 50mph). I replaced a coil pack with a new one one coil at a time and this didn't help. I'm wondering if its the control module or some other sensor? Any ideas? It'* going into my mechanic on Friday (preparing to drain the xmas goodies account!).

There are a few things that could cause your problem. FIrst, just to be sure, you aren't loosing any coolant? I don't recall if you did your lower gaskets yet, or not. Check also for a vacuum leak. A couple of places to pay close attention to is the connection on top of the supercharger right after the throttle body. That center cap likes to crack and leak. The other is the "T" sort of hidden under the supercharger snout. A bad or dirty MAF could cause problems, also. There was even a case where a bad EGR caused similar problems. Did you get the code read?

Let'* also rule out battery & connections.

Good thinking....Brian. Were you still getting unusual amount of heat from your fuse box? Besides the battery and ground connections, TT'* suggestion reminded me of the problem that 2000SIlverBullet had with his car.

This probably isn't the answer, but if you think you have an electrical related problem, I'd recommend having the battery checked and maybe the charging system.

I had it happen to me many years ago on my '91 Bon. It was doing the same as yours, and after 2 trips to the dealer for $500, I checked and replaced the battery.

Looks like LIM failure. There are puddles of orange coolant in the small areas around the fuel injector housings in the top on both front and rear. That leads me to believe UIM failure! Damn I don't need this now! My coolant is low in the reservoir as well. Here'* what I can see if you look right in the middle of the pic!

This is your car? If so, you don't have to worry about the UIM as your supercharger takes the place of that. It does sound like your lower gaskets have gone, though. It often wicks its way up the bolts, and puddles around the injectors.

There'* never a good time for it to happen, but around Christmas is worse. You can do it yourself, if you have the time. It'* not that bad of a job, other than time consuming. We can help you through it.

Yes that pic is about 15 minutes ago from my car. So I take it you are refering to a LIM? I'm not sure of the terminalogy of all the gaskets but I assume that'* it. Can I drive with this condition for a week or so until I can have this done? I'm in retail and these next two weeks are my 5 alarm fires!
