Extraordinary Fuel Mileage!!!!
I've been having a problem with my gas gauge also. I fill up the tank and have to drive about 35 Litres out before the needle starts to move. It doesn't get accurate till about the last quarter of the tank. I ran the tank out til the idiot light came on then filled it again, just waiting to see what this tank does before i'm off to the garage. This is about the 3rd time it'* happend in about 4 months

Reviving an old thread here - thought I'd mention the eye-popping mileage I get on my trips to Dallas from home (1,500 miles RT). I zero out the fuel used-o-meter and the trip meter, save my receipts and double check the math. I've made 12 of these trips in this car.
Bonnie gets between 34 and 35 mpg
Oil changed every 3,000 without compromise, and basic maintenance. Aside from the fuel sensor recall and a major 40,000 mile maintenance done at the dealership (I know the guys who sell 'em and fix 'em there), she has not needed that much attention.
Treat her right

As time goes on we learn more and more about our cars, especially the 2K+ Bonnys is one of the major reasons why new threads are encouraged.
The general rule of thumb is, if the last post was over 4 months old provide the reference and start a new thread.

It'* more appropriate there because it'll be a new thread, and it'* general chat, not mechanical-related.
