Driver door - Nothing works.
It is possible that the main switch bank (windows & mirror control) could be bad. What this won't really explain though, is why your seat memory buttons don't work. The reason I asked about the key fob is because if it worked, I would know the Driver Door Module had intact class 2 data communications with the rest of the vehicle. This is important for the other door functions to work as well. For example, when you try to roll down a windows, the DDM queries the vehicle to see what power mode it is currently in. If the ignition is off, the DDM won't allow the window to go down (unless Retained Accessory Power is currently active). This is similar to the other doors as well. This same information is communicated to the other door modules via the DDM (as this is the only one of the four that connects to the class 2 data bus).
I would be inclined to try a new switch console. There are other tests you can make, but it'* a little more difficult without a Tech 2.
I agree, it'* unlikely that both the DDM'* you've tried are bad (although not impossible).

As soon as I get home I can post more details instructions if needed, but basically you need to connect to the vehicle and scan for codes. You need to enter the information about your vehicle to get to the correct menu. It'* fairly straight forward... It will want your type of vehicle (Car), model year (2000), product line (Pontiac), body style ('H'), Trim Level (SSEi) and you will end up at another menu giving you a choice of Engine, Body, Chassis, Etc. The door module will be in the 'Body' section. You can select the Driver Door Module here. It is normal NOT to see the Passenger Door Module or either of the Rear Door Modules as these are not class 2 devices.
Make sure that the Tech 2 is able to communicate with the DDM. If you select it and then try to check for DTC'*, it will give you an error if it can't establish communications. See if any current or history DTC'* are stored. Again, the tool is relatively easy to use and menus are fairly clear. Record any DTC'* and post them here. There wlll be a 'Special Functions' section where you can perform various tests. You can select a door and do things such as lock or unlock each one independantly. This goes for window control as well. Run through these and see if you can control all the different doors through the Tech 2. This will tell us if the DDM is functioning and where we can start to look for the problem.
I will connect mine later as well to post other things you can look at.
