Thanks so much for the advise about the o-rings and the explanation of why the feed line is bigger than the return. Makes perfect sense now

I have ordered the o-rings from RockAuto (ACDELCO Part # 217452). I will let you know if that fixes the issue.

Update: Well, these did not fix the issue as the o-rings were too small for the feed line. On second look of the Dorman 800-059 repair kit, it does work for the feed line, BUT, one must take out the plastic inner retainer (as in photo) to make it fit. Without that sucker in there it pops right on with no issues.
