I thought it went out and upwards over the top of the paint and cars roof. But uhh I might be wrong.

not for the H-bodies they dont, some cars do though

jwakamud Feb 21, 2006 08:28 PM

well i couldnt find the brochure, but im quite positive that it did say that. while the moonroof is on top of the car, dont you lose headroom for like, drainage or something?

gm4life Feb 21, 2006 09:26 PM

Okay maybe I am wrong. Then you would loose headroom, and yes dranage forgot about that. ;)

i have never seen an OEM sunroof on a sedan that retracts outwards...

GP 2 door, Cavilier 2 door, a few Saturns, there are many more that are not GM too

Try again...But PJ's GA sedan retracts above the roof outside the car.

gm4life Feb 21, 2006 09:29 PM

Ahhh ha. Another retract outside the car.

driverjohn2005 Feb 21, 2006 09:48 PM

It's odd because it seems all other GM sedan OEM sunroofs retract outside, including the GP and Impala sedans... Only the fullsize sedans seem to retract into the roof...

that is because with the slope of the roof on some cars the roof is not able to retract inside
