I agree. Don't you just hate that trunk hatch button. I never use it. Just use the key fob. The new Grand Prix for 04 have a feature where you just hold the door unlock button for a couple of seconds extra and that pops the trunk.........I'm sure it'* interlocked so it can't be done when the car is out of park.

The problem with the Bonne'* is that hitting the traction control off button does not totally disable the traction control. Excessive wheel spin is monitored and the ECM with pull timing if detected, even with it disabled. Damn car is just too smart for its own good.

Except that like 2000SilverBullet said, if you just turn it off, it is in a sense still on. The only difference it makes is it waits a second or 2 before kicking in, but if you spin for long enough, it will kick in and start pulling your timing and all that good stuff, just like if the TCS was on, so we are trying to find a way to disable it like the GTP'*, where you can just pull a fuse and have it be disabled completely.

OK, so if it disables the speed sensors then what is the point? Even at the track you would probably want to know how fast you are going. The fact that it disables that many things, and not just the ABS like the W-Bodies, almost makes it not worth it, but I still want to see the info on it.

Well the Trac Off light may not necessarily come on, but does the light on the Traction Control button go off? If the light on the TCS button doesn't go off, it is still on.

I looked over those schematics and it looks as though it would work, but would disable quite a few systems in the process, and I am not the smartest when it comes to electrical stuff, but unless there is something that I completely missed, in theory it should work. Not something you would want to do on the street, but should work fine at the track. I am going to look over the schematics a little more, and maybe do some of my own testing on the SSEi. I need to get enough info to make that traction control write up I want to write, this will help quite a bit.

For the earlier generation Bonnevilles with the Teves systems, it should be as simple as disconnecting the auxiliary brake fluid reservior level ELECTRICAL connector on the PMV. This SHOULD disable traction and leave ABS in working order. You'll probably throw the traction warning light, but there shouldn't be any other complications.

I've been helping Sasage with this offline. If anyone who KNOWS for certain they have this system would care to try it and give feedback, it would be greatly appreciated.
