Monitor your coolant recovery tank very carefully to see if you are losing coolant. Rent a fuel pressure gage and check the fuel pressure.

Bumping my thread for an update. Hope that'* ok, mods.

I hadn't had any problems until very recently (like last week). When I do have issues, the car will start only if I give it gas... and will keep running only if I give it a rolling start which could be a problem if I'm not backed in.

To sum up: Fuel pump works, fuel pressure regulator works. The starting problems only occur if I drive the car on a normal trip (15-20 minutes) and then don't drive it for another hour... and when I do get it started at first, the car revs VERY roughly with black exhaust smoke.

The last post I saw was from 2kg4u and said to monitor my coolant level. It'* been dropping quite regularly over the past two weeks. So I'm gonna have to see about this UIM soon, most likely.

Anyone wanna loan me a few hundred so I can get these things done?

A few hundred? Less than a hundred and your back on the road.

Parts-wise, true. Labor-wise, to do it myself requires more time than I have these days, to be perfectly honest.

New update: Car quit on me again today. I had it towed to the shop.

One new MAF sensor later, and it seems to be working fine again. Hopefully this will do it... if not, I have some decisions to make.
