Could it come at a worse time?
Prolly not, well I just closed on my house which I'm very excited about. Few days after my blower motor is shot as it seems to come on when it wants and doesn't blow much air. Then my alternator is going to hell. Batter doesn't get charged and car has gone into battery saving mode. Well never the less blower motor and alternator is what I will need, but since I'm going to be in that area is there any easy upgrades I can do? Also does anyone have any of the gm part numbers for those parts? Thanks guys.

I don't think there is anything else to swap out in that vicinity, but the 2000+ guys may have something to offer.

Hmmm, that is interesting. I don't seem to see anything about alternator removal in the Techinfo. Wow, such a common part to be replaced but we don't have it.

Yea thats an odd one. One of my buddies said he would replace the alternator, all new belts, and the blower motor for 200. So I may consider that lol .

One upgrade I might suggest is replacing your battery cables while you are swapping stuff out. Never can be too careful, and good cables will help all your electrics work smoother. I think there'* an article about upgrading the big 3 on here somewhere.
Definitely replace the belt if it looks shaky.
FWIW, if you have any future plans for the car that would require a new wire run through the firewall (IE stereo, amps, lights, etc) you might want to consider running it through there while you have some room to work with, even if you don't use it right away.
