what temp does everyone sit at whenits cold outside. here is my issue i did a coolant flush a whille back and ever since the temps sat 2 notches lower than before, it used to sit right tdc on the guage now in the cold it maybe gets 1 or 2 notches above 1/4 temp on the guage. another thing is that I did a coolant flush a while back and i might not have added enough coolant to the system cause i asked my bro in law to buy me some and I mixed the jugs up and he might have bought me premixed and i dont know cause i added it allready and mixed the jugs up with some others in the garage. i have a 195 thermostat and never had this prob before the coolant flush i wasnt worried about it in the summer cause it was only a few notches down from and now its cold and its just not cranking that rediculusly hot air out when i jack the atc to the top so im worried. any suggestions would be awsome.
I have a 180* thermostat, and the gauge sits about 2 lines to the left of center. If it was just the gauge, I'd wonder about your temperature sender, but as you also are not getting heat, it would seem more than that. You could have a bad thermostat, or have an air bubble within the cooling system. This is a thread where the air in the system was the cause.

If in doubt about the coolant, drain it out. You don't want to be weak in the coolant department. Drain, replace the thermostat, refill using the directions shown in the above thread'* link, and you'll likely be good to go.

GM sticks the needle at 200 in that rage so they don't get customer complaints of the car running cold or hot. Customer'* feel better about a needle that doesnt fluctuate even if the temp does.
If you mixed the pre-mixed coolant with water, it is way too weak of freeze protection for the climate in Canada. You will need to drain the system and refill with a known good coolant mix or you could end up with a cracked engine block, radiator, heater core, burst hoses, blown gaskets, damaged water pump, the list could go on and on.
