Default Coolant in the Oil, intake problem! Need Advice.

Wont go with the whole story.2000 SSEI. Here is what I know. Oil in the coolant. Figured intake gaskets.Took to the local shop I trust and that does my work. (getting too friggin old to bend over and work on it). I dont know how long its been going on. Last time I changed oil it seemed fine. Anyway, the intake is etched and that area is where it leaked. Putting on another intake. Cleaning out the best they can(valve train, cleaner, flush, etc).
Its got 145,000 on it. I have owned it a year and put about 30000 on it. I owe 2000.00 on it still. No ticking(upper) or knocking(lower end), Yet!. But I know the bearings could go at anytime. Its a crap shoot.
**My integrity will not let me sell it outright to an individual. If it goes, its a dead horse. I can change oil about once a week for a month and see how it goes. Thats cheap.
I could trade it off and probably get what I owe out of it. Everything works on it except the sunroof wont go back, works up and down though.
My question is, if I keep it, and it thows a rod bearing, can I get some money out of it by parting it out on this forum and other places? Its in nice shape. Supercharger, wheels, etc would be good to sell among other parts. Since I can do the job myself, its not worth putting a short or long block in it if it craps out. Plus there is always the Trans, yet to go! Fluid is good and red and shifts ok.
Share your thoughts guys.
Being you couldnt do the job yourself, what would you do?

you could definately get your money out of her if you parted her. however the big ticket items such as doors, trans, hood, decklid will all be expensive to ship. i have 190k on mine and she is still going strong on the original motor ( trans is another story). see how she goes after the fixes and keep an eye on it and decide what to do if the motor or something major goes.

I would honestly change the oil and see what happens. Keep an eye on it. If it starts knocking, then you can part it out. The bearings could or couldn't be bad. I'd say it depends on how long you've driven it that way.

Keep a eye on it, but it should be fine. Watch your oil pressure. If it starts getting lower and lower then you likely have a bearing going. Salvage yards generally sell L67s for around $800. You can part it out and get a lot out of it, but it will take time.

I cant tell how long its been doing it. But I am guessing it got bad in the last 1000 miles or less. It has never overheated. I noticed last week driving to work, the heater was blowing cool, yet temp hit 200. So I added coolant at work, got home and changed t-stat and radiator cap and added coolant. Then I noticed coolant was going down a bit each day. No leaks. Pulled the oil filler spout and thats when I knew!
I think I will change oil and filter about every week for a month and then taper off. Cut open the oil filter and check it each time. And I wont get into any boost for a good while.
I really appreciate all the responses!
Was just wondering if anyone had had one go down like this and then ran it after and got through the trouble or not.
It does have a new oil psi sender, put that in this summer, was leaking.
Have to watch it closely.
Thanks so much everyone!

Sounds like the bottom ends on this V-6 are pretty good!
Fingers crossed. Pamper and baby it and hover over it for a good while is my next calling!
