have your alternator and battery tested at your local autozone free of charge..

if you replace one, replace the other at the same time

definitely, go have them checked. But if you have a bad battery, chances are its because your alternator has not been charging it sufficently. If your alternator is bad, definitely replace your battery because if you keep jumping a battery you will wear it out FAST. Definitely replace in a pair if possible.

Sounds like a bad battery or battery cable connection. If it'* just the battery then there'* no reason to change the alternator. If the alternator is bad & you still have the original battery then I'd also recommend changing both.

I'd test them both and replace only what does not pass the test. If they both fail, then replace both.

Weak batteries are hard on alternators. If it'* the original battery then it'* time to change it whether it checks good or not.

Yes, if it is the original then I would agree with replacing it. That would mean it is six years old and that is about the most you can expect from a battery.

If the battery is stock, then yes, it is time for a new one. I just replaced mine....took car of similar gremlins. You cannot buy just any battery...these are special ones with the vents for the gases to escape. More expensive, but necessary none-the-less.

Very true singscountry! That is very important on these cars as the gasses run through a special tube to vent to the outside. Without the right battery or the tube you risk build-up of poisonous and explosive sulfur gasses inside the car.
