I've had this problem before but it seemed to fix it self but ever since I left the Minnesota meet. Every time I set my climate control while driving, then shut off the car for a bit then get back in and start the car, the climate control sets it self to auto and cranks the fan speed. What'* going on?

Some possibilities may be - that it switches drivers settings (2 to 1 or the other way around) and each has its own settings, or your battery drops low enough while starting that it puts the system back to defaults, either due to a weak battery or corroded connections.

well when they tinted my windows they had trouble starting the car with a second battery due to crappy grounds. Guess i'll have to rip off the back seat and see what the battery looks like. (Battery guy tested the battery when it wouldn't start and said it was still good)

Pay close attention to the bolt and threads in the floor pan for the grounding strap from the battery.

Achron Is that the main cause for the car switching from driver 1 to 2 cause mine is doing that often. and its a huge PITA. but my battery and connections are good..

The main cause has been mistakenly using the wrong keyless entry remote where they program for driver 1 and use the remote for driver 2 to unlock the car.

The grounding strap causes various electrical problems to appear. It is attached to a painted surface so the ground is picked up by the bolt as it is threaded into the floor pan. That opens to the underside of the car, so rust and corrosion builds up after a time.

Loose connections to the rear and under-hood fuse box, including the 3 bolts that ground and hold the box down has also created issues.

I don't think i have driver 1 and 2 settings in my car. I have a viper alarm system and only one remote for it. So I never use the standard keyless remotes.
