Clearing The Tails-Any Last Minute Advice???
I got the other side cleared last night and sealed them both and let them sit over night. I started working on the center piece, but didn't make much progress until it was late and I called it a night.
Here are some pic'* of what I've done so far:
I didn't want to but, you need to cut this off along the red line:

Then you need to cut at approx 45 degree angle around this red line:

There are little hook like tabs that hold the red piece in place, you need to cut deep enough at those locations to free it up. You can tell where they are because around the edge of the backing there will be little bumps that are noticeable.

Here are what they will look like on the car (bear with me it was dark):

I will continue my work this weekend and post more pics on the center piece later.
My only concern is with the center piece, I don't know what is behind the red reflector yet. I don't know if it is shiny or just black. My theory is that if it'* black, I'l get some chrome tape/decal that I've seen on various web sites and it should look okay.

I thought about doing that, I think it would look sharp on my midnight blue car. I didn't do it because I couldn't find a good solution for keeping the brake/taillights red. How'd you do it?
I purchase replacement LED lights from this web site:
www.superbrightleds.com
I haven't recieved them yet to make sure that they work, but I have seen regular red replacement bulbs availible at AutoZone.

Let me know how those work out for you. I was concerned that LED bulbs wouldn't "disperse" the light properly without the red lens in. When you get them, be sure to post a night shot so we can see how it looks!!!

Well,
I got the center portions cleared on the rear. You can see where I cut if you're really close and looking hard but I'm pleased with the results. Ran out of time for the outers today and also didn't have a deep enough bit. What kind of Dremel bits are people using to get down in there?
Thanks.

Not yet. I'll go snap some and pop them up here as soon as a I can. Getting my place ready for a New Year'* party tonight. It looks pretty good even without the corners cleared yet. The rear-end'* crying out for a spoiler now.
