This only happend to me once so far
Full service gas station, only got about 10 miles down the road when ding, ding, check fuel cap.
The annoying message for me is the low tire preasure, when its cold and I hit 2 or 3 ripple bumps in a row it will set it off. ITs easy to reset but happens a few times every winter.

I have had this message since I have had my car. I have had the gas cap replaced. No change. I think it might have to do with a sensor that detects if the gas cap is on, or not. I have to clear the message every time I start my 2000 ssei.

Your fuel tank may be compensated somewhere else... There is a line that goes to your charcoal canister. It may be leaking there.
