I guess I'll replace both rear shocks and then get an alignment.

There are tie rod ends on them and they like to go bad and cause the rear tire to move around over bumps and usually make a rattle noise also.

***UPDATE***
Took it over to a local Pontiac dealer and verified what I thought was wrong.
Rear shocks are toast. They quoted me 655.00 to replace the shocks and do an alignment. Needleass to say, I'll replace the shocks myself.
Any suggestions on what shocks to get? I haven't priced shocks from GM yet, but I can get Monroes for about 70.00 a piece
Thanks for all the help on this

Go with the Monroes. Also, check (or you may just want to replace) the shock mounts. A few, including me, have had problems with those going. Don't get the cheap ones as they don't isolate well enough and you'll end up with a clunk in the back end (of your car).
Mine has just started to bounce again.........it used to only bounce in the winter when it was very cold.
Right now the car looks like it came oout of the 60'* its all jacked up in the back end.
All of the gages came on at once........It was time for a oil change...the oil light came on.....the tires were alittle slack and the tire pressure light came on.
both the tire and oil were taking care of and the lights went out.
everything fine till I run over a bump and me and the car are bumping down the road.
I think im going to reset the car see how that goes.............um how do you reset it.
do I just disconect the battery?

Fredbear - yours is likely a different problem. If the back end is jacked up that far, it is likely the ALC control switch. That has been known to cause problems. It fills the air shocks up all the way which will cause the high back end, rough ride, and handling problems.
yeah I had my wife turn the car off and on while I listened..............the pump was coming on and shutting off but like I said the shocks are sitting about two inches high.Alc huh Ill check that out
That'* normal operation for the pump to run for a short time each time the key is turned on. If it is only a couple of inches high, you may be able to get away with just adjust the ALCs setting.
